So, I bought a 2013 TI with a bad mast. Long story, but I ended up replacing it with a new one from the factory. After 3 months of EXCELLENT sailing, it suddenly won’t lock into the mast receiver. I saw a thread where someone mentioned there may be insufficient epoxy to hold the furling sheet spool in place. Bottom line: had to take the sail down and peddle home from a couple miles out. Great workout!
Need help: the lip of the ring that locks into the receiver is 9.5”. It is actually blocking a small part of the Hobie logo on the bottom of the lightning-rod warning on the mast.
If this is an excursion due to insufficient epoxy, how do I fix it?
Thanks in advance, as always.
JJ
