New to Kayaking and Islands

Hi all,

I am new to owning a kayak and Tandem Island. I have kayaked many times and sailed Hobie cats on vacations. I just put my order in and it should be here in April. I have a pretty good idea of how I'm going to transport it and store it at this point. I was just wondering what everyone uses for clothing onboard their kayaks? Also, what are everyone's favorite PFDs? Any other gear I should be looking at for a first-time kayak and TI Owner? The plan is to take the entire family out on it 2 adults one 5-year-old and one 2-year-old. As they get older probably get another kayak or 2, once they can paddle them selfs. We are all super excited to get out on the water !!

Get PFDs you will be comfortable in. We offer a Hobie Stohlquist designed version that is thin in the back to be most comfortable in the high back seats.

Clothes depend on weather and water temps. Layers are good.
