I recently had a tornado toss my AI and NONE of the replacement parts are available. Not even parts for the drive can be found. What is going on?

It is a 2021 AI. I need a new sail (Aruba), Battens, starboard rear Aka, Idler cable for 180 drive with kick-up fins.
The places that seem to have the parts don't actually have them. My dealer says Hobie doesnt respond to inquiries, just has parts as out of stock, with no lead time.

I may have to see if a sail loft can rebuild the sail. Anyone ever tried to have an aka fabricated?

The latest word from my dealer is that Hobie is putting all of the parts they can get into new boats and drives. Hobie told him that. He hasnt been able to get drive parts since december.

Hobie's bread and butter has always been parts so this seems strange to me.

Why buy a boat if you can't get replacement parts?!?

Good thing I have other kayaks.
