Hello,

I have a Trax 2-30 cart with the balloon wheels. Is it possible to change to a different type of wheel? I have a hard time getting the cart under my PA14 while in the shallow water at the bank due to the buoyancy of the balloon wheels. I think if I have a wheel that won't want to float so much, I can get the cart in place while in the water. Unfortunately, I need to move the PA14 up 2 stone steps to hit the beach and I don't want to slide the yak over the stone due to possible excessive scratching.

Thanks!

Some people have filled the tires partly with water as an option. The axle is long. You could use the HD tires and make spacers of PVC pipe to hold the tires inboard on the axle.

Yes! I have the same cart you do and did just that. Check out Harbor Freight or similar, I replaced my cart with either the 8" (maybe 10") wheels that are solid with rubber, I put two on each side with some metal spacers and it works great over concrete. I did the switch because I didn't want to wear out the inflatable wheels on concrete which I'm transporting over most often.
