I just recently purchased a pa 12 with the 360 drive. I was out the other day and I moved the drive slightly to the left. When I went to move the drive back to the forward position there was a really bad noise coming from the handle. I have tried to adjust the steering tube but no matter what I do the clutch is stuck. Does anybody know what could be causing this?

I have reached out to Phil Dow to get you some ideas - or please get the kayak over to a dealer so they can investigate - when I get a reply from Phil I'll update the forum post. Thanks.

I called the dealer that I bought the pro angler from earlier today and they said they have to reach out to Hobie as well and look for some answers

What was the resolution to this? I think I'm running into the same issue. I recently had to change my belt out because I thought it had snapped. During the disassembly, I fount the the belt was still in tact, albeit stretched at 2 of the teeth. Got the new belt in and reassembled, made all the necessary adjustments. Now the 360 handle is MUCH stiffer to turn, binds when turning left, and makes an awful squealing noise every few turns that comes from the clutch assembly. I wish there were instruction on how to inspect the actual clutch assembly.
