This year's CRAM regatta at Muskegon will have an outreach focus. In addition to the buoy racing, we're going to try to do something special. Current thinking is along the lines of a low-key (=lots of fun) informal short distance race (down/back in 3-4 hours) This would be followed by more traditional buoy racing.
Please Note: With CRAM's support, HCA has tentatively agreed to allow the buoy racing portion of this event to qualify for Hobie Points under the HCA Points Regatta Policy. Any class that has 5 or more boats at the line will get their own start and be scored separately.
As the spring/summer progresses, it will help our planning to get an idea of people willing to commit to this event. If you are interested in attending, please PM me or send an email to rehmbo at mac dot com.
Exact details, NOR, and other regatta information will be posted at CRAM's
website.
Finally, any Hobie sailor, regardless of skill level or experience, is always welcome to attend
any CRAM event. To encourage this, first-time regatta fees are waved.
FWIW, my sig picture is from Muskegon last year (August 2011).
