I Sympathize with you Karl - Western Canadian winters can be cold and long.
I know there was a real cold snap in Edmonton before the holidays.
The ice last year did not go out on Calling Lake Alberta until just before Victoria Day.

Its been nice here in San Jose but the winds are usually light out of Santa Cruz except when there is a storm on the way. (like this week - possible thunderstorms)
