Alternative(s) to Thunderwear padded sailing gloves

Hi all,
I used to wear Thunderwear padded sailing gloves but alas, they've gone out of business. Their padding on the outsides of the hand really reduced (my) fatigue when holding onto an uncleated jib in strong winds.

Any alternatives with this kind of padding would be greatly appreciated.

I've used three fingered West Marine gloves (the old style, grey and blue) with comfort.
Not so sure I like the new style, black and yellow.

Thanks but they don't seem to have any padding around the edges of the gloves and that padding helps to distribute the pressure of the line when you've got it wrapped around your hand.

I sail with meatcutter gloves which are moderately thick coarsely-woven spectra or kevlar. Friction pads on one side should not be considered a drawback; they are just for looks or super slippery stuff, while the body of the glove gives padding and friction. They don't hold water at all and are so cheap I can have several pairs tucked here and there. I also like to hold sheets to deal with gusts instead of a lot of draggy rudder movement, but maybe not with as much force you're dealing with.

Thanks. The friction is not the issue but the pressure and the padding on the sides of the Tunderwear gloves did a good job of distributing that pressure which is what I'm looking for.

Oh sorry, I was in the middle of editing my note to clarify that the weave, not the pad, is the thing. It's to protect fingers from being stabbed or cut with meat saws and happens to deal with this with thickness and resilience. Of course the sturdiness varies with (quite low) price.

I'm not pushing this for you, it's sort of brainstorming an issue that other readers may find useful. For instance the worst gloves I had was for sailing or kayaking and made of neoprene. Horribly hard to put on or take off, and holds a stink. After that I looked for unconventional brute functionality.
