Hi guys. First post here.
My name is Darren and I come from Melbourne, Australia. I have owned Hobies for a few years now starting with a Revo and then adding an Outback to the fleet. I sold the Revo and bought a PA and have recently sold the Outback and have a TI on order. Can't wait.
I thought I'd share a video that I took back in April when I ventured out into Port Phillip Bay and met up with a friend (Hermie) and his young son Jay. Squid were the target and it didn’t take too long to find them. Hermie and Jay are new to kayaks and kayak fishing and had never caught squid before. I’m happy to say that’s no longer the case.
It was a special day. The weather was perfect. I had nearly bagged out inside the first half hour, and Jay and his Dad had scored their first ever squid. One of Jays was a rip snorter.
The fishing was interrupted for a while by a visit from a large pod of dolphins with pups in tow. What an incredible experience. Not the first time for me but it was another first for Hermie and Jay.
Words can’t describe it, so I’ll let the pictures tell the story. Hope you enjoy it.
