A word of caution about storing and trailering the mast on it's side like that, you can end up with a permanent bend or bow in the mast, as mine has after the previous owner stored it that way for 20 years. Similarly, He had supported the mast with a 2x12 cradled in the main traveller yoke and tied down. The mast would bounce on the 2x12, the yoke bent, and the mast track got pinched. I trailer with my mast facing downward, spreaders out parallel to the crossbars and sail track up to prevent damage.
