Pro angler rudderh

I need to know what size/type of bit is required to remove rudder on my 2014 pro angler. Any heip is greatly appreciated!

What are you drilling?

On the rudder attachment to the housing, should be a slotted screw head on one side of the rudder and a phillips on the opposite.

I can't find screwdrivers that will maneuver into the area to remove the slotted and Phillips so was trying to remove entire assembly from the top (under the black access panel) so I can get to the to afore mentioned screws. Am I on he wrong track? Was looking for the driver bit that fits the bolt that releases the rudder assembly.

Remove the cover on the deck to access the rudder system. Remove the mount screw that is holding it to the drum - then it will drop down and you will be able to remove the sister screws at that time.

We are talking in circles. The original question was the specifics on the holding screw. Is it a Tory, hex, L, and what size? T15, T25, L2, H10?? I am trying to avoid buying an entire set of bits when I only need one.

We use Alen screws - they are not Torx. The cover plate used a #2 philips - the drum is held on with either a Alen screw or you have a push pin that wouldn't require any tool - since we don't know which version you have it could be either of those

Current boats are using a philips screw - so again, just a #2 philips is required....It's hard to know which version you have - you really just need to open it up and have a look.

The screw is #8030126 it's a 10/32 x 3/8" long - it requires a 1/8" Alen wrench

Or may be a Philips. Would be interested to hear what you have. Our BOM (Bill of Materials) and parts diagrams note the hex, but the factory is currently using a truss head phillips.
