I purchased these boot patches for repairing turbo fins, I cut to size, cleaned area with wire brush per instructions peeled and stuck. It says they are pressure sensitive, the more you press the better they seal so I used my vise :D . Ater six trips still holding no peeling. I did one on the water and worked better than expected still sticking as well.

I've used those those patches for my rubber boots but never thought about using them for my fins... They've held up good for me in the past. Thanks for the reminder. By the way, using your vise may have been just a little extreme  !

Looks like a good idea. I have been using Gorilla tape, but I have to change it every three or four trips. It comes in 2 x 5 inch strips, which would make it good for emergency hull repair also.

at almost 30 dollars a fin, it was worth a try. I put on new fins in the area they seem to tear as reinforcement, so far so good

I was looking at the Rubber Boot Bandage website, there's a page you can enter other uses for the patches. It's 1001 other uses for Rubber Boot Bandages on the bottom left side of the homepage. You should list your use for the fin repair on there.
