I would like to know if it is possible to paddle the Eclipse with the handlebar up. I would be interested in switching back and forth between the peddles and the paddle while on the water.

Possible, but difficult. You need to swing the paddle across in front of you. Easy enough to remove the handlebars I would think. Be sure you strap down well.

It sounds like it would be easy to remove the handlebar while out on the water, so I could just strap it down and paddle. I am also assuming that it would be easy to re-install the handlebar while on the water also?
