I pondered this and gave up. I saw a guy with a H16 that a lazy-jack system for his main and a furling Jib so he could raise and lower both on the water. He didn't worry about getting the bead on the halyard in the notch, just tied it off at the base of the mast. He was not interested in speed as all that junk added extra lines and weight. It would be handy if the only launch was at a rocky area. Launching from a ramp where there is no beach and high winds is a disaster waiting to happen, at least with my boat. (learned the hard way
