I am setting up my trapeze . what size and kind of braid line are you using hiking out? 3/16 - 5/16 Multiplait ?

Trap lines are actually wire. I have never seen rope used as a trap line on Hobie. There is a small amount of line used for the dogbone with a slide adjuster.

Yes the line on the dogbone , I have the trap wire and the bungee cord.

The pre-stretched Dacron line that Hobie sells is really good and inexpensive. It fits the rope locks perfectly.

There's not that much load on the trap line, there should be no reason you coundn't use something other than the steel line.
