That's a Mokai - a whole different take on a kayak. It will do things that no other kayak can, but you're back to having an engine, gas, etc. I'll do something on it later.

Tom I like that set up. It's simple yet secure, good job.

It's also self aligning - whether you push or pull the boats onto the pipe, they automatically center in the scupper troughs.

Saw that. and the flex of the pipes helps that. I think you used 2" PVC? I have seen others with 4" . It seems the 2" would be stronger. Is it PVC schedule 40?

The smaller the pipe the better it will conform to the hull shape. However, if you go too small you end up having the boat hull bottom out on the support structure. 2-inch has worked perfectly. Yes, it's schedule 40.

Impressed with the trailer and the decked out PA. My question as a perspective owner is, with all the mounted gear on both port and starboard side rails, how do you get into the seat when launching and exit the seat when docking without snagging or breaking gear?

I hadn't really given it much thought because that stuff really isn't in the way. Not at all. If it is I sure haven't noticed it.

Unlike our other kayaks, used in rivers where we skin over and into the boat across the gunwhale, we're normally getting into and out of our PAs from a dock or bank. In other words, we're stepping into them, not crawling over the side where that stuff is mounted.

The stand up bar is also a great aid for getting into and out of the PA.
