Hello first off I don't use these sailboats I'm trying to sell them on craigslist but don't know what they are worth sooo here I am in a Hobie cat forum where some Hobie cat genius can help me to discover their worth. All I really know is that one I think is a 14 footer and the other one is a bit bigger. If anyone's willing to help I can send you the pics via email. Thanks! Arielle

I've got a car - can you tell me what it's worth?

Also - can you appraise my house? I don't have any pictures to post, but if you give me your e-mail address, I'll send you some and promise not to put you on the mother of all spam lists.

Yeah, right.

Now you understand what a dumb question you just asked.

/whoa - I've been spending too much time over at Sailing Anarchy.

Ya think?

I was just talking to somebody the other day about you, I said you come across as this massive prick online, yet you're nothing like that in person.

Thanks, Karl - I think. I'm not as bad as Tawd though.

At least I didn't give him the newbie welcome he would have gotten over at SA. Can you imagine the beer and popcorn party if this guy had posted the same question there?

Holy Cow, I haven't laughed so hard on reading comments on this site in a long time. So Matt, tell us how you really feel. :-) SA has such good coverage, but if you are new, and make any comment, look out. There is alway someone with a strongly opposing oppinion, I just haven't seen it done here. Then Karl jumps on you, I nearly fell out of my chair.

For the few who have not met Matt in person or online, he is one of the really nice guys and knows a scary amount of information on all things Hobie and otherwise.

I apologize for my prick-y-ness, I MAY have been in a slightly altered state

And I spend a lot of time on SA too...

My bad!

Had an acquaintance who was getting going in sailing and someone had suggested that he plug into SA in order to "learn" about sailing.

After a couple of seconds of staring at him, because he was really psyched about all the SA coolness, I think I mumbled something like: "Dude, you ain't gonna learn nothing at SA..." and we started talking about something else.

One theory is that monohulls naturally make people into BOBs (bitter ol' & bitchy).

Dad took me to a regatta or two when young. Mostly the "mature" Scot crowd. Slow wind at 5 mph. Never heard so much cussing and carrying on to win. I looked at my dad and said, "You'd beat me if I said things like that!" He just shrugged it off.

I could swim faster than most those clowns were racing.

Cat crowd has mostly seemed more laid back... I say, mostly.
