I need to work on my mast rake to stop the leeward hull burying in the puffs. I have a short pigtail that I am thinking of adding to the bridle instead of adding a chainplate. Thoughts? I also need to work on the mainsheet blocks to accommodate the added rake. WE had the leeward hull buried to the tramp a few times yesterday so thinking that rake is definately needed :) I had a blast on the water yesterday and look forward to doing some more very soon

The H-16 is notorious for tending to bury a bow. I don't know how much rake will help but I always shift weight as far astern as possible and keep my eye on the leeward bow. I just got done dragging my boat from the back of the house to the front and may try to come down on Sunday. It is going to be cool on Sat. Right now the wind forecast for Sunday is not too good. I will look for you at the beach up by the campground if I do get there.

BTW - James I am missing my Black TRap shock cord - did you happen to see it lying in the parking lot after we left the other day?

Thanks James, I am hoping we can get out and sail again soon - would like you to take my crew with you and let him work your trap and see how y'all tack etc. When might be a good time? I was hoping maybe next weekend?

I'll get back to you closer to the end of the week, but it is likely.

I plan to be at the lake if there is any wind . I would have been there Sunday if the wind forecast had been better. I do have the boat ready to go now. James, I did appreciate the ride last week.

I plan to be there if the wind is going to be that good. I leave early to miss the traffic so should be there a couple of hours before you.

If the forecast holds up I will definately be there.

Drummer, Do you have a trap harness? I'll bring an extra one just in case. If it is anything like last time someone on your boat should be on the wire.

See ya'll then.

So latest forecast is 18 - 32 mph winds - may be a little much for me and my son who has never sailed. James if you end up not going let me know and I will send you adress to send trap cord. If you are going I will come along to watch the fun, but having said that, when are the forecasters right anyway

Intellicast shows 14 mph at noon staying steady until about 5 for the Hillsborough area. Might be a little more on the water though. My plan is to go, so I should be there around noon. If it is really blowing stink maybe hrtsailor and I can double up. Anything over about 20 is survival for me by myself. Righting the boat in those winds is actually easier, it's keeping it from flipping back over that is the hard part. See ya'll there.
