A few of us were able to get out Friday morning and do some bottom fishing, launched at 6am and the bite was on fire until about 9am, the winds picked up fast and it was a wet ride heading back in, then seemed to get nice again as we hit the beach, go figure. We all caught snapper, gag & red grouper with the best catches being Chad's keeper 28" grouper & my 11lb snapper which went back in to keep getting bigger.
Me bowed up with a nice snapper

I don't bass fish but research the inland dune lakes in Fort Walton County, you can catch redfish & bass in the same lakes I hear

Just got home from our trip to Seaside. Checked out the inlet lakes you suggested. I have two outbacks on a Malone trailer so we found a State park on Western Lake with a boat ramp. Fished the lake for two days and have to say we were surprised to catch Bass and Redfish in the same place. We really enjoyed the fishing there for two days. Thanks for the suggestion!
