This company, Annapolis Performance Sailing's website has some mast floats (inflatable) for 60 to 67 dollars. They have a nice catalog which they send quickly but the website is less than adequate. I dont own the mast float so have no opinion only interest.

I'm a new H16 owner and installed a bob right away because I'll be out with my 7yo daughters a lot. When we go over my first priority will be to their safety and then the righting tasks so I won't likely get to the lower hull quickly.

That said, the installation went fine. As for how well it holds, the mast came down unexpectedly once (on the beach), all the way down, and landed bob first on the sand. The mounting angle plates bent very slightly but they held on tight and there is no wiggle to the bob at all. I was impressed, I thought for sure at least one of those little screws would pop out from a violent impact like that but they didn't.

Hope it helps!
