I've searched the forum and found one idea using a 55 gal drum (maybe 30 gal) for wheels. Any other ideas? Any better pricing then $400? I'm considering looking for used ATV tires and wheels. Anyone try that approach? They just have to hold air and be large enough, right?

Thanks,

Lee

I made a set for $60 that worked very well, but were a bit heavy for trailering. They were perfect for a boat that is stored on the beach.

You can get pix and detail from the following thread -

Where do you live? My friend has an older set with a T handle he is willing to part with. He has no interest in trying to ship them though. He was talking about putting them on Craigslist locally.

hogwldfltr: If you're not interested I might be. My wife is down in the VA Beach area right now and it could work for me.

I'm in MA near New Hampshire right next to Lake Atlantic. Where are his wheels?

PS. Oh, I see. My folks used to live in Suffolk, VA.

Well, here is how it worked out. I advertised on craigslist and was able to find a used CatTrax. Isn't the internet wonderful?
