Hi Rev
Im glad someone besides us enjoys our photos.
I was beginning to think maybe I was overdoing things on the board here with all my "Photo"s so I took some down awhile back.
I have seen some real nice pictures of the Florida waters around here but never any of the "Piddle Pond"
Have fun fishing and sailing and post up some Piddle Pond Pics if you can 8)

Heres a few snaps of my backyard in the waters of Tinkle Creek

You can never overdue photos of kayaking & water. Please keep posting. This is where I get some of my inspiration from. As soon as the wife retires we will be doing road trips taking the kayaks with. The photos help made the decision where we want to go.

Your efforts are more important that you know.

Thanks and keep it up.

Bruce

I'm a newbie and am about to mount a sidekick to an Outfitter. Reopening a can of worms of a topic. I plan to mount it just behind the front seat. Wondering how those longer wellnuts are holding up? I will try to throughbolt method first. I won't have the patience to try to get a lock nut on there for 2.5 hours though. If I can't do it I was thinking of putting marine goop on a washer and stick inside the hull, while still goopy put in the longer wellnut and hopefully the combo of longer wellnut, goop and washer will keep it from pulling out. Any thoughts or ideas on this or experiece mounting sidekicks on an Outfitter?
Thanks

I installed the side kicks on my Revo behind the seat. I chose to use bolts & lock nuts. It took some doings to get them on but glad I did. Some have no problems with the well nuts & others have had them pull out.
Its what ever you are comfortable with. Do you have a friend with long arms?

I responded in the seat post but will add here.

Ray,

I have had luck with the 1-1/2" wellnuts. It has been almost 2 years and they are still holding with no sign of loosening. The longer wellnut you can get the better 1" to 1-1/2". Personally I think one needs to look carefully at the location and make a choice of location and what hardware to use based on your planned use and conditions. Another thing to consider is "Do you plan to paddle with the sidekicks?" If you do, the location right behind the seat can and most likely will interfere with your paddle stroke. I hit the sidekick amas with my paddle. It sucks to put the sidekick bar across the well since it would limit your storage and the potential use of a baitwell but if you plan to paddle you need to set it back furthur from the seat.
Of course on the plus side the closer you are to a hatch the easier it is to use through bolts.

Thanks for the responses and advice Revo. Nice to know the longer well nuts are holding up. On my Outfitter there are not too many mounting options either between the 2 seats (concern of rear mirage drive hitting the crossbar) or the only other option is behind the rear seat. Behind the rear seat provides easy access to through bolt next to a hatch, may also help with low max weight (200pds) when out solo which is all good but some feel too far rearward - decisions decisions...
