Now that I've calmed down from the excitement of getting my Revo I'm noticing/pondering a couple things.... Does no manual/warranty info come with one? Were the scratches and stress? looking marks on the deck when they pulled it from the showroom? Was the 'up' word missing from the rudder pull? Now the port fitting for the mirage drive DEFINITELY had to be really loose when I bought it...I never thought to check it. It was sloppy in use -- noticed that. I've only had it out once and it didn't blow off my car or anything? I take responsibility for not looking it over, however after just getting back from a road trip I wasn't my sharpest.... It had been in the showroom with hats in it.... Ideas?

Hi Lula,

You should have gotten a manual. There's an older Mirage PDF manual online.

Can't help with the other questions. Where are you located?

make sure drive is clicked in place correctly, there is a post somewhere here on it. The flap in the back sometimes causes problems. Warranty sheet may have been sent in by dealer and the manual contains vey little you cant find online. scatches are not a big deal you will make plenty of your own but stress marks shouldnt be there. was Yak new?

Call your dealer and schedule to bring it back and have them go over it with you. They are suppose to check it all out and give you everything that came with it. Sounds like this one slipped out without that attention. Any good dealer will make it right for you.

When I get my boats, I check everything, and note anything I need to tighten or adjust. Then I check it all again after a couple of sails (AI or TI) to note anything that may still need a drop of Loctite or replacement. I sail and fish up to 5 miles from shore here in Maui, and don't want to end up in Tahiti instead of back home at the end of a trip. :)

Enjoy your new boat.

A VHF Marine radio, an EPIRB, cell phone in a waterproof bag that it can be used from and all the self rescue gear I can carry (Hand Pump, 2 paddles, spare Mirage drive, Captain's leash, throw-rope bag, full tool kit, spare parts, etc.)

I carry what I do, so (hopefully) I won't need to use it! :)

Thanks, everyone. Yak is new. Dealer gave me manual with warranty card and Mirage drive seal today. The Click-N-Go cam is what's very loose on port side. They think two screws would have to come out to get to one (of the two) that hold it to the hull. Must've come from the factory this way. I'll have them assess the scratches/marks.... They're ordering a new 'up' pull. A 2011 Revo had arrived about two days after I bought mine:( and the steering handle is improved, otherwise seemingly the same.
