I have lost all battens in my jib sail. What is the best place to get them? Or can I make them myself for cheaper? I am a very stingy 19 year old college kid looking for some relaxation over the weekends but the batten problem seems to be affecting my mobility in the water. Please halp!

Craigslist and eBay are your friends if you are on a tight budget but you can always buy new from a Hobie dealer (just Google one), I don't think battens are really all that expensive, about $87 for the whole jib set brand new.

Another good way is to contact your Hobie dealer. Oftentimes we have all kinds of used bits laying around. Speaking for myself, I have a stack of old jibs that I just don't have time to list. Jib battens are harder to come by used for some reason, maybe they're a bit more fragile.

YES jimmu, I was about to post the exact same thing. I use these and they are awesome and reasonably priced!
