THANK YOU to all! For your insite and suggestions. I removed the cat trax from my cart for my pending order. Saving me a chunk of change!
I used a members suggestion above (thanks for the emailed drawing). I used new treated 14ft 2x4's (4 per boat) and used 3/4 ID PVC.
Cost of 2 sets of rails (one per hull per boat) is around 34.00 with liquid nails glue as well.
So around 100.00 to make them for all 3 of my boats. (GOOD DEAL!) I had purchased 100.00 worth of wheel chocks. And had been pushing 4 of them under each boat. (HARD TO DO!) to raise them up. Didn't work well, so I was able to return them, get my 100.00 back and put it into the wood/pvc project. Photos when I get a chance.
I can move them up and down as the water line goes up and down... and the boat EASILY slides on them due to minimal friction.
I'm thrilled with how well they work. For winter, I can put the "3" units end to end and run a total of 42 ft! (more with a little space between them. As a means of getting each boat way up on shore. Thanks for the great idea!
