How 'bout you make it slightly arched so the ends come up just above the front cross member by the corner castings. Then you could make it like a ammo magazine by putting a spring in the center. Then push cans in from each side. This way you would not be inconvenienced by going midships to obtain your next. It will always be locked and loaded on either side. Then perhaps an aftermarket extension for trapeze accessibility. :wink:
