Ok here I go with the restoration of a '73 Hobie. She is in good shape less the paint, so most of my Q's will be geared to that.
First, I have to disassemble her. I went to remove the tramp last night. Is the tramp able to be removed w/out taking the frames apart? Yes I removed the laces.
2nd, when I lift one hull I have to lift almost a foot before the other hull moves. upon further examination I found that the upperframe castings move alot!

. I knew she was loose and plan on doing the epoxy assembly.
2nd &1/2, As I look at the pylons,I have 4 eye bolts, one in each casting with plastic nuts, I use this as tie downs to the trailer. If I remove the eye bolts will the frame lift off of the hulls/pylons?
Third, are the rudder mounting screws bolts( with nuts), or screws? keep in mind this is a '73, will I be able to remove them with out fear of the nuts falling off? I have no access holes and no desire to install them, But the lower castings are frozen (corroded) to the pins, the pins are brass or bronze looking.
Did I say something about paint? Ya I'll get pictures and ask them when she's ready for some color.
