Hi Guys,

Need some help or pointers.

Out today and Hobie nearly filled with water. Once ashore I found a hairlline crack where the Mirgae Drive lug sits in its hold where the clamp turns over the top of it to hold it down in place. How on earth do I repair that so it lasts?

I was disappointed of course as I feel it shouldn't happen given there is so much pressure and was surpsrised to find its not solid at that point. It could be a manufacturing fault as I have noticed that the designs are now different.

It is a Hobie Outback SUV, 2006 model.

Any help advice is much appreciated, I have sent Hobie an email too.

Contact your dealer for a warranty replacement.

Yes, contact your dealer or a dealer near you. Provide them with the serial number, model and photos. A 2006 would likely be out of warranty (2 years from purchase), but we are more than happy to consider some warranty adjustment to get you back in the water.

Thanks for the advice. Made contact with Zach at Hobie Europe beginning of last week, sent photos and serial number and the background to the incident. Emailed Tuesday and he'd not had any contact back from who he needs to talk too. Hopefully somehing will happen soon.
