I just bought the Heavy Duty Cart for my Mirage Adventure. As no instructions were included, I am a bit confused about where to install the the plastic ring brackets. Should the Kayak sit only on these brackets with the bottom of the kayak sitting slightly above the padded crossbar or should the bottom of the kayak be touching padded crossbar? Also, will it damage my kayak if I store it on the cart in my garage as I use it frequently and don't want to bother taking it off of the cart unless there is a risk of damage.

Thanks so much for any help.

Never leave a kayak on a cart longer than it takes to move to and from the water. This will distort the hull bottom.

Sorry that the instructions for the clamps were not passed along to you with the cart. Dealers should be able to properly instruct you on their use. The hull should rest on the pad. The clamps should take any further load to the cart. Tip the hull upside down. Slide the cart into the scuppers until the pad rests on the keel. Adjust the clamps to rest on the scuppers. 3 points of contact are required.
