The Dodger is held in palace by 6 eyelet posts. Little bungee loops over each. It is easy to release and fold forward to get out, adjust pedals or whatever.
Do holes have to be drilled into the hull for the eyelet posts or does it use existing posts?

What is the quickest way to order and/or find out more about the
bimini top you mentioned. I've visited the Hobie website, but was
unable to see any mention of them.

Somehow this mounting method does not look that strong. What would happen if you had a good wind? Wound the bimini rip right out of the kayak? I am curious how well the bimini would handle wind and wind gusts? Is there another way to install the bimini that does not involve drilling holes?

The Bimini mount requires 4 mount holes drilled. The mount is positioned just behind the seat. This mount should fit most any kayak as it can expand or compress for differing boat widths. The 4 holes will be in the rails on either side of the cargo area. The attachment is via expanding nuts. Rubber that expands inside the hull as the screw is tensioned. Very secure and water tight.

Wind shield? How about a Dodger?

This fits the Adventure, Outback and the Sport. You can sail with it in place too.

Got this off another forum. Thought it was interesting.
Brazos

The least expensive way......RAM Tube + Sch 80 PVC + Bank Give-Away Golf Umbrella = excellent sun shade.

One can even do the "Mary Poppins" sail trick on the way.....and set it up in any position....at any angle.

When not in use, it's secured by a paddle holder.

PS. If you really wanted to get funny with your rigging you could add a 360° light on top.
