My California fishing license allows me to harvest from saltwater not only fish, but clams, oysters, mussels, crabs, kelp, and algae. Freshwater targets can include not only fish, but crawdads, and freshwater clams [a couple places have said taking personal use amounts of edible water plants is also okay with a current fishing license].

As I get experience and gear up for these various creatures, I was wondering who else uses their kayak to generally forage and predate for the breadth of things allowed by their "fishing" license.
