Hi All. I have a 84 hobie 18 and need to replace my trampolines. Anyone have any leads on good used tramps, or are any of the aftermarket tramps anygood. I've read a few horror stories about tramps on ebay, but I don't have $500.00 plus to spend on a new one...Thanks.....also this is a great forum.

Purchase the Hobie solid tramp. Cheaper than the mesh. A aftermarket tramp will last only 3-4 years. A Hobie tramp will last 20 years. Look at it in dollars per year and the Hobie tramp always comes out on top.

I purchased a aftermarket tramp to get sailing while unemployed/underemployed. Trust me, in 4 years you will repair it or replace it.

Or hunt around for a used Hobie tramp in good condition.

I have a factory Hobie turquoise mesh main tramp set in excellent shape (used), will sell for 1/2 of new. Believe to only have several seasons of light (& covered) use. Will post a pic later tonight.

Pic added. Has virtually no UV fading on the radio welded seams (first place sun damage shows up). Could stand a little cleanup. All grommets, pockets, and hiking straps are good. No repairs done or needed. Lots of life in this tramp. Likely will last 2-3 times longer than any aftermarket, much more so with reasonable care (maybe even without reasonable care!). Freshwater use only, no salt. This tramp IS a shade or two 'greener' looking than this photo shows...digital camera had a hard time 'seeing' the color. SOMETHING LIKE THIS.
