Watch that video and there is no way I could balance on something that small with the ocean throwing the boat around. Do you guys think using one of the Quick Release Stay Adjusters would work to put the mast over center and make it easier to right? All the Supercats have them on the shrouds I was told its to help right them since they are so heavy putting the mast over the center of gravity helps. http://www.boatersworld.com/product/MP80824970.htm?utm_medium=productsearch&utm_source=Google

in concept I think that would work, and I've seen a guy on our beach w/a H21 that has them...

but the ones on that website (in your message) only extend about 2 inches... not enought IMHO.

good point about soloright in waves.... I've tried in a light chop, but nothing more.

if you got shroud extenders that extended more.... AND put a strong bungee or something to prevent the mast from possibly coming unstepped during the process.. you might be on to something.

but being out solo, trying to balance on the boat after capsize and retension the shroud and put a pin back in could be precarious too.

I guess H18s were made to take a friend.

Seems like if you could get some rope around the trapeze handle you could right the boat solo since you would be pulling up on the mast tang no theory behind it just sounds like it work.

Nope, pulling on the trapeze line would have no benefit (it's the equivalent of trying to pick yourself up by reaching down and pulling up on your feet). Righting the boat is dependent entirely on the location of your center of gravity in relation to the center of gravity of the boat, not where you pull on the boat.

The righting line is attached to the hull, the hull is attached to the mast tang with the shrouds, so it does pull up the mast.

Like SRM says, it's your position in relation to the boat. The further away you can be from the hulls, the more leverage you have.

 How about a Righting Pole vs either the solo-right or water bucket?

This video shows a Hobie 21 (23) with 10' beam.

It was mentioned above that the location of YOUR center of gravity is correct in that the farther out you can get the more leverage you have and thus the way that the boat in the video is righted.

The righting pole is easy to make with typical windsurfing mast and base parts.

what windsurfmast you use? is better aluminium or any lighter with carbon? I can buy aprox 3200mm (11ft) long alu mast 35mm.

Aluminum would have been easier to rivet blocks and cleats to but I had an older fiberglass mast. I cut the 15' mast to approximately 11'-12'. The difference in weight between masts is not that significant and especially on the 21SE. I have pictures posted of my connection to the dolphin stiker in the following post, http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=14627. There are numerous ways to connect the mast to the dolphin striker.
