I love the rivers and creeks here in Central Florida, but those shallows and hidden logs take their toll sometimes. My Outback and Revo had the somewhat common rod poke-through on 3 of the 4 ST fins, a bent rod to the point of it killing the Mirage drive for the day, and one of the up/down rudder deploy lines on the Outback came out of the rudder drum and sucked back into the hull - rendering it useless for the day. 2 of the ST fins had the Tear-Aid from previous punctures, but it was no match for the rods this time. The rod poked right through the Tear-Aid on one fin and lifted the Tear-Aid right off on another. The 3rd fin was a virgin and had no tape. Admittedly the Tear-Aid had been on the one that lifted for a while, so it was old, but the one that got shishkabobbed was just applied the day before. Nothing that can't be fixed and relatively inexpensive. I have learned to be sensitive to shallows and logs and take defensive measures, but some days are better than others!

Here is a little video from the trip on the Econlockhatchee River (despite it looking like gator harrassment we were just trying to get by):
