Just received a new factory jib for my 16. I noticed a change. It came with a stay shackle at the head of the sail in lieu of the foot as my last one was where attaches to headstay. The H-16 parts IPB also shows it at the bottom. Does it even make a difference? Also noted the stay shackle is riveted instead of removable pin of which is a good move. Another thought, one wouldn't want stay shackle connection at top and bottom would you?

TIA

Gulf waters are warming up!

Hi Tia, My best guess is the sail is now made that way so it is easier to adjust as it is pretty hard to get to when the jib is up. I drilled out the shackle rivet on my jib and replaced it with a shackle at the top putting the adjustment tie on the bottom so it could be adjusted if needed while the jib is up.
