Hey, guys, From your experience , where are the best locations for telltales on a H18 sail? Are the original locations best?( at the small windows) Note...The sail is 20 yrs. old but I am not a racer but am an obsessive sail tweeker trying to get the best out of the sail...Advice is appreciated..DJ

On the jib, the stock locations work fine.

On the mainsail, one set of tell tails on the panel between the 1st and 2nd battens down and another set on the panel between the 2nd and the 3rd battens down. Both about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way back from the mast. These will tell you very clearly if you are over sheeted or under sheeted. Since sails stall from the tip down, if these aren't flowing, you know the whole sail is stalled.
