Summer is here! I've incorporated my beach chair umbrella to my outback. It's durable, lite, adjustable for continuous shade. Check it out. Let me know if you have any questions.

That looks pretty good. I've been looking for one that is adjustable. Will that fit into the sail mast post? Is there an online store that can be purchased? Thank you in advanced.

The manufacturer is sport-brella.com. I believe you can purchase the shade separately, just costumize it.

I wanted some shade while fishing, so I installed a large golf umbrella on my Adventure. I mounted it onto the crosstube for the Hobie Sidekick outriggers. A simple PVC tee cut lenghtwise and a couple hose clamps are all I used. The handle slips into a length of 1" PVC which has holes drilled every few inches. This allows me to raise and lower the umbrella's height. A tethered pin in the appropriate hole keeps the umbrella from sliding down. A piece of 3/16" bungee prevents the umbrella from taking off in the wind. Will take some pics in the next few days. It's much cheaper than a Hobie Bimini. Not recommended for windy days.

That would be nice if you can share your DIY sun shade. This design is so convenient since there's no tie downs to interrupt with casting and it's so much easier if you land a fish. You're right about the gusty winds, I would not recommend since the umbrella will break. Luckily, the replacement only cost $15.00 plus shipping.

Hmmm.... well I only see it for sale with the chair. Am I mistaken or is there another site?

Here's a shot of my golf umbrella bimini on the Adventure. Works like a champ. I do take it down when the gusts get over 15mph. It stows nicely in my starboard paddle keeper. I'll post more detailed pics when I get a chance.
