I am also interested in installing the short section of aluminum track to allow for a mainsail reefing point. Can anyone provide a "how to" on doing an install of the alu track on the comptip?

Thanks,
Roger

The replacement track comes with installation instructions. Basically, you peel the plastic track off, cut it to length, and then snap the track back on. Snapping the aluminum piece on can be tough, you might need to pull off the head cap and slide it down.

The aluminum section was not designed for the H16, so not sure it fits the CompTip.
