I was sailing Newport Bay (California) today. Richard Branson's Cat is in port (mast is missing in the pic).

What does it have that my H16 does not? - Well a submarine that rides up under and deploys when at anchor.

Check out a video of this cat - it is reefed and still screaming fast. The video is when it was called "PlayStation"

I was gonna say "Let's see 'em fly a hull!", but then I watched the video and saw them fly both, simultaneously

Man, that is nuts!.

I was told ( I was taking a week long keelboat class in Newport) by a local sailing instructor the "Playstation" cat and Branson's "Oceanic" cat are the same. It was built by Steve Fosset as the "Cheyanne". Either way, the boat the video is Amazing,

Just... ...wow.

There's a lot of chatter in this vid, but some of the shots will give you an idea of just how HUGE this thing is. Toward the end they're walking across the tramp and it looks like the size of a neighbourhood park.

Started as Playstation (Cheyenne), then was sold to be used as the film boat for the Disney movie Morning Light. Now its to be used as a sub platform to dive the 5 deepest spots in the 5 oceans.

more about it here:
