I've tried searching the internet for the difference in the Hobie Evolve V1 and V2 but can't seem to find anything. I have an opportunity to buy a used V1 but before I do, I'd like to at least find out what the new V2 has that the V1 doesn't before spending my money on the V1. I think I did see somewhere that the V2 has a little mor battery life or something along those lines. Is this the only change?

Thanks

I did manage to find something that said the V2 is faster and lasts longer. About 2 1/2 hours longer when set at 2 mph. Answered my own question. :)

It is also supposed to support solar panel charging while in use... like the non-Hobie Torqueedo counterparts.
Here's to hoping that isn't going to be vaporware.

Getting closer on the solar panel. Torqeedo has approved the panel. They just have to get adapter cables made. That can take some time. Cables for the eVolve were something like a 6 week lead time from their vendor last time we got some. Cost looks much lower than earlier reports. More when we know more.

Thats great news.

Matt, do we know if the solar panel is custom made for an AI/TI?

Not "custom" for AI or TI, but certainly will work on the tramps.
