When I fish super small waters and I won't move more than a few hundred yards I simply use a stringer attached to the anchor cleat. When its a longer trek I am a fan of a small cooler with ice. I can keep a lot of crappie and bluegill on ice til I get back to the dock to clean them. Plus the cooler can pull double duty for lunch/drinks, just organize your stuff and fish to avoid fish slime on the lip of a can...

I'd like to hear from the folks who catch and keep big fish though, of all the species that I fish none of my keepers ever exceed 5lbs or so.
