Trax 2 or Heavy duty cart?

Hi guys just curious what you guys use and why? I want to order my cart but I'm not sure what to get. I will mostly be using my kayak at remote beaches, some of them are soft sand but some are sand and rocks.

I fear that the trax 2 tires will be too soft and get punctures too easily. How tough are they? But on the heavy duty I worry that the tires will dig in the sand and it will bog down.

The tires need to be W_I_D_E and soft.Narrow will dig in and be hard to manuver.If the tires are too hard they will cut through the sand instead of rolling over it.

I have both types of wheels and live in Florida (a lot of sand), I have found that 90% of the time I use the HD wheels (it's easier to pull the boat with HD wheels on anything but soft dry sand). We live right near Siesta Key beach (the #1 beach in the world), the sand is so soft (like sugar), even the trax II balloon wheels are difficult to pull our TI through that type of soft sand when it's dry. When it's that soft we take the cart off and pull the boat with one on each side (half carrying).

There is once in a while that you may want the soft tires so what I would do is buy the Trax II cart, then buy an extra set of the HD wheels (there fairly cheap for just the tires) and will fit onto the Trax II cart (but you can't put Trax II wheels on an HD cart).

I'm betting though that you will find yourself using the HD wheels 95% of the time because most of the places where most of us launch our kayaks are grassy or hard packed, paved lots, or just crappy sand where the HD wheels work just fine. Typically the really soft big beaches are public beaches with surf, and it's a pain to launch through the surf, or just not allowed ( like around any public swim beaches (where they usually have all that nice soft sand)). The areas we are allowed to launch at are usually crappy (so the HD wheels work fine). At least thats what I've found 90% of the time, and I'm out every weekend all year round all over Florida (west coast and Key West mostly). I pack both sets of wheels in the car but haven't mounted the big wheels in a long time. My two cents.

thanks fusioneng, that makes perfect sense, I did not know those tires fit. So there is a cheap alternative. Will other the trax 11 first and then in a few weeks order the tires.
