Has anyone tried to make a cat trax that was 2 pieces, one for each hull ? each one having 2 wheels. I found 4 8" wide plastic wheels (free of course) but they have a 1/2 in axle hole, I have axles also. Mount on a 2x6 12" long, with smaller pieces of wood length wise to keep straight on hull, bungee cord to keep on hull. Should cost about $5.00 to make,,,

You can try it. Friend has had good luck with these. If you have most of the parts they should be REAL cheap. Add the second set of wheels and you should have no trouble even in soft sand.
