I realize this is nothing compared to what some of you others have done to your yaks, but since this project was possible only because of your posts, pictures and ideas, I am posting this so others may benefit from it (and I'm also rather proud of my work and want to show it off :D )

Here's the rigged Revo11. Humminbird PirhanaMax 150 fishfinder on left. Scotty Rocket Launcher rod holder mounted in a Scotty flush-mount.
Image

Closeup of the fishfinder connections and Scotty flush mount. I got a Scotty humminbird pirhanaMax mount and it fits the fishfinder perfectly. I wired the power and transducer connections through a West Marine Thru Bulkhead Wire Cap, and siliconed everything nicely (next time I'll use marine goop, it's better apparently).
Image

I used a Shoot Through Hull Humminbird Puck Transducer. It comes with slow-cure epoxy which is what you want to use for this application, rather than fast cure which can cause bubbles. I glued it midway between the rear and mid hatches, far enough from the drivewell to avoid interference (I hope).
Image

Out of the puck transducer comes the temp sensor. I threaded that back behind the seat and up through a small hole and dropped it into one of the scupper holes on the rear deck.
Image

I sent the power cable forward to the front hatch where I'll put my battery. I'm using a trailer connector between the battery and the cable for easy disconnection. The bungy cord is used to strap the battery to the mast pole and keep it from moving.
Image

I created a foam cast for the bottom of the battery, to avoid having the sharp corners of the battery rip through the drybag into which I put it. I wired the other end of the trailer connector to the battery and stuck it out of the bag, but with 3 twists of the bag, it should be nice and watertight. I added some gorilla tape just to be sure. I also wired a trailer connector to the charger so that i don't have to take the battery out of the bag to charge it.

And there you have it. It was lots of fun. Thanks to all of you who shared your mods and made this possible! And if you see anything wrong with my setup, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Orange shag carpet and bongo drums??? Are you about 65 years old? I think they called themselves "Beatnicks".

Just kidding... Great job with the yak... what did you use for the Fish Finders holder?
Thanks
