I have a few friends that have battle scars on their legs and ass cheeks from running into the stays on a pitch pole. They still sail with me lol.
My best was out on my 18 last year.. I was out with a good friend who is even more nutty than I am.. To get us going I had raised our Trapezing levels to make sure we stayed out of the waves and whatnot to let him get a feel for things.. Once he looked comfortable and knew what was basically going on I started the "lets fly high" routine.. We are having a blast and I keep going higher and higher.. Right up to the point in which I realize I have raised the trap levels a bit to high and I am tipping over before the boat... Somehow my arm ended up pinched between his weight and the shroud... and then pulled down by my weight across the shroud.. It was a nasty bruise... The boat stayed upright.. We lowered the trap levels and kept right on sailing.
Yet another
This is another solo capsize. (I generally try to behave a little better with crew aboard) Some people might say this is to much wind to be out solo... I had a blast and have no idea what they are talking about..
Please note.. The jib was enough to do me in...

It looks like there was one good smack on the main... but it is luffed and uncleated long before I am all the way over...
