Has anybody used the led livewell lights for deck lighting? I want to light my PA with red in the cockpit but I'm scared the livewell lights will be too dim and the larger 4 or 6 led waterproof strips will be too bight. Any suggestions or examples are greatly appreciated.

I doubt the 4 LED strip lights will be too bright. Do a YouTube search for the deck lighting, I believe I seen someone with the strip lights already on the PA.

I have stick on led strip lights 12" long with the cables running through the fish finder plugs on each side. These run into the 8" hatch in the back and connect to a wireless remote controlled dimmer switch then to a 9ah battery. The dimmer works a treat!

Calibraman do you have a link to what kind of lighting system that is. Also can you post some pics of what it looks like all lit up?

I am definitely a fan of both of your pictures. Some more details on both would awesome. Islandspeed, is yours the clear plastic covered led 4or6 LEDs? Calibraman, do you have a picture of yours lit up in the dark?

Mine are 12" strip lights. I got them at West Marine. They were adhesive and simply stuck them to the bottom of the mounting plate on each side of the PA.

Hey jmfg and island i was also curious as to why you guys chose red over a clear led? The color looks awesome but seems like it'd be harder to see things on the deck and harder to see while tying knots.

Thanks Islandspeed2001, Red keeps you from loosing your night vision.

Sorry guys, this is the best I can do as my yak is 30 minutes drive at my parents house. They light up similar to the red picture and have more than enough light anything you would need em for.

I have recently added some number plate lights in the back too but have no pics yet sorry.

Sean.
