What is the preferred method for adjusting the jib? I sail in about 10 mph winds. I've been experimenting with moving the jib traveler in/out, and flying the jib tight and loose. The cat seems to run better when the jib is sheeted tight and close to the mast. Does this sound right?

What would be some basic guidelines for the jib?

Thanks in advanced

Depends on the point of sail. Going to weather travel all the way in and two block the jib. The farther you get off the wind the farther you travel the jib cars out and loosen the jib to open up the slot between the jib and main so the main doesn't stall.
