Just bought 90 H16 - need advice on how to store at dock

I just bought an H16 yesterday after thinking about it for years.
The advice on this forum has been very helpful during the buying process, thanks.

I've been on a cat a few times, mostly just workig the jib, always with someone experienced, so I have a lot to learn.

Anyway, I have a floating dock on lake travis (TX) and I would like to keep the boat there instead of trailering it all the time. I have a covered slip and hydrohoist for my powerboat, but trying to figure out how I can get the Hobie out of the water without spending a bunch of $. My dock is in a nice sheltered cove, so no worry about waves. I talked to a guy at the sailboat shop today and he suggested I make a floating frame out of very big PVC pipe and this would have enough flotation to get the boat out of the water and I could tie it up to the side of the dock. This was just an idea, I don't think he had ever seen it work. I have a pivoting 10x10 jet ski lift on one side of my dock and I could probably do another for the hobie, but that is pretty big $'s with the electric motor, decking, etc. What is the best way to lift a hobie out of the water if I don't have a slip with overhead lift points? I'm somewhat handy with a welder, so fabrication is an option. Any ideas are appreciated.

Have fun with the boat. I purchased my first one last fall and started sailing this year. Never sailing, all I did was read books before I went out. I'm no where near ready to race, but good enough to have a good time. I think its a bit easier than it sounds. Have fun!
