Big enough to really rattle the China, but no damage...biggest one since 89.

You just got to love those free rides by Mother nature ! :D
I'm guessing that it will just be a matter of time before Southern Calif. will be feeling it also as the stress relief works itself south.

Coach--glad to hear you did not suffer any damage or injuries. Stay safe.

Few of the local kayak anglers lost dishes etc, one a wine cellar! Historic buildings in Napa got beat up, lot of left over unreinforced masonry from gold rush days over there.

Napa got the brunt of it, we're about 30 miles from the epicenter, so just a lot of shaking.

Glad you made it safely through this big one.

As a wino, I was sad to hear the news from the motherland. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/napa-earthquake-losses-could-top-1-billion-2014-08-25?link=MW_home_latest_news

I hear hydrogen peroxide works great on wine stains.

NoHuhu,

It is horrendous what happened in some places to the wine. I've got a couple of friends that have reported their whole cellars are gone. Luckily, wine doesn't last that long in our house, so no tears on our side.
