Where did all the outbacks go?

Ok. So I've been kayak fishing for a couple years, have a Cuda 14 that's been great, Also had a Coosa for my son, he got disinterested with it , so now it's gone. I have gotten very interested in the Outbacks due to the fact that I like to troll a lot and the hands free thing seems perfect. I was also considering the Propel, but after lurking on the Hobie forum and seeing how everyone raves about Hobies customer service I have decided on an Outback, partly for my son, I think he would have fun with it and keep his interest, and also for me to be able to see how it would fit my fishing style.
It seems like a couple of weeks ago there were several Outbacks for sale around, but I wasn't ready to commit. Now that I'm ready to buy(used) I can't find any that are right. They are either old models that , after reading on here , I'm not sure I want, (cracking hulls) and anything newer is almost the price of a brand new one. This forum has been great with all the info. It's really helped me with what I want and what to look for in a used Hobie. Classic huh? Now that I'm ready to buy, the boats have gone . Just keep waiting, just keep waiting. Maybe when the 15s come out there will be plenty of used ones to chose from.

Where are you located? I think some people (like myself) are going to hold onto our Outbacks until the dealers get the new 2015 models. I'll probably sell mine in October or as soon after that as I've saved up the premium for the new model.

Did you see this site on here <http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=31>. It is for letting people you are in the market to buy... Post up and let them know what you want... Then they might make contact with you and start planning to sell. They will need ot know what part of the world you are located.

Thanks guys for the info. I'm in the dfw area Texas . I actually emailed a dealer a couple hours away about one he had for sale and it was already sold... But, he has a brand new yellow 2014 that he will sell for $1500, I'll have to pay tax but don't think I could get a better deal than that, you think? He said he wants to clear all the old models out to be ready for the 15s.i checked the sale board on here but everything was way- far away.

That's a steal! I wouldn't even sell my [gently]used Outback that cheaply!

Well... I'm picking up my new Outback Saturday. It's a little more than I wanted to spend but for just a little more money compared to a used one I think it is well worth it. No buying hassles, warranty , and it's new.
